Chiropractic

Dr. Amanda Steffen is the owner of Steffen Veterinary Services, PLC, and offers veterinary chiropractic care to dogs, cats, and horses. She had always been interested in pursuing chiropractic training and in February 2022, completed a rigorous training course at Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic. Dr. Steffen also passed the IVCA exam and is therefore certified in animal chiropractic through the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. In addition, she completed two training courses in advanced chiropractic techniques and recently attended the IVCA conference in San Diego, CA to learn and collaborate with experts in the field of animal chiropractic.

The chiropractic exam and treatment involve assessing the musculoskeletal system and looking for areas of hypomobility. When an area of hypomobility is found an adjustment is applied to the area to improve mobility in the joint. Chiropractic care is extremely beneficial in helping with musculoskeletal pain and can be beneficial for all patients ranging in age from newborn to senior patients.
